Residential Security System Technician

Required Experience

Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in:

• Burglar alarms
• Access control
• Surveillance cameras
• Basic networking
• Fire alarms
• Electrical systems troubleshooting

Job Duties

• Installation of security products in residential and commercial environments
• Installation of smart home technology products
• Troubleshooting low voltage electrical systems
• Installation of access control systems
• Install, set up and troubleshoot video surveillance systems
• Service and troubleshoot fire alarm systems
• Must be able to work independently

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have 5 years of experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Clean driving record
• Computer skills
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently, self-managing your projects and time
• IT related skills
• Basic understanding of the principles of electronics
• Willingness to learn
• Be physically able to use ladders repeatedly throughout the day
• Must also be able to work in small, confined and sometimes dark spaces including, but not limited to, crawl spaces and/or attics
• You must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, pass a background check and become registered through the State of Tennessee
